Campania: Tour Classic

   


Length: 5 days / 4 nights

First day:
Arrival in Naples in the afternoon. Meeting with the guide and city tour by bus, with some stops as for example: Municipio Square, Maschio Angioino, San Carlo Theatre, Plebiscito Square, Royal Palace, castel dell’ Ovo, Margellina. The visit will continue in the ancient centre of Naples with the guide, an itinerary to discover the town mysteries, starting from the monumental complex of Santa Chiara to San Gregorio Armeno, to the church of Gesù Nuovo, walking along the Decumani of Naples. Later in the afternoon transfer by bus in Paestum in three stars hotel, welcoming cocktail and arrangement in the rooms, diiner and overnight stay.

Second day:
Breakfast . Transfer for the guided visit of the Paestum archaeological area, with its three impressive Doric temples represents the most important evidence of the incomparable heritage left by Greek culture. Guided visit of the National Museum. Transfer in a biological agricultural farm for a guided visit, where it will be possible to see the buffaloes breeding, the modern milking system, the equipment for the yogurt processing, the mozzarella production and the final tasting of a bocconcino. Guided tour of the Firm Museum. Lunch will be served in a private villa of the ‘ 700 (main course: crespelle with fresh cheese and spinaches, mozzarella cheese and fresh cheese; tomatoes salad; salad; yogurt of the firm; handmade bread; rural bread; white wine; mineral water; ice cream/coffee). In the afternoon guided visit of Agropoli , the little town situated at the entrance of the Cilento National Park, characterised by its historical centre vertically on the sea, in which it is possible to enter through its monumental door of entrance. Agropoli, with its Castle, dominates from the top. This little town, in which recently have been found some graves dated before the Byzantine period, also presents some medieval ruins of the Saint Francesco Monastery, the church of S. Maria di Costantinopoli of XVII century, the tower of S. Marco, the tower of S. Francesco and those of Tresino e Pagliarulo, well preserved. The port, the famous beach of the Trentova Bay, with its rock, the wonderful seafront, make this little town an important seaside centre. Return in hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Third day:
Breakfast. Transfer to Pompeii, meeting with the guide in front of the ticket office for the visit of the archaeological area. . Visiting the ruins it is like rediscovering the unchanged charm of the ancient Roman town destroyed by the Vesuvius eruption in 79 A. C. and left buried for centuries. While walking in the streets, among the temples, theatres, the sumptuous villas of the Patrice Patrice Aristocracy and the little rooms and the servants tunnels, the public buildings, the shops where it will be possible to think and imagine the scenery of the everyday life of the Roman time. Lunch in typical Pompeii restaurant (main course, second course and side dish, fruits or dessert, water and wine in carafes on tables). After lunch, continuation to Salerno and guided visit of the town with its characteristic historical centre and the Cathedral. When the shops will open there will be a shopping walk. Late in afternoon return in hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Forth day:
Breakfast. Meeting with the guide and departure to the Salerno port, boarding (compatibly with the weather) by ferry for the visit of the Amalfi Coast, a corner of Garden of Eden, a perfect mix of history and legend. The picturesque sea village, situated between sea mountains and sea, during the Medieval period was one of the most powerful economical centre of the all Mediterranean. Amalfi seems to be wide-opened on the sea like a huge balcony brightened by the sun and at the same time it is dominated by the Lattari Mountains, rich of terraced garden rich of flowers, perfumed of citrus orchards almost touching the sea. Continuation for the visit of Positano, the most precious gem of Amalfi coast, known and appreciated by the elite tourism all over the world.
Lunch will be in an Amalfi restaurant (first and second courses, side dish, fruits or dessert, water and wine in carafes).
Return by ferry from Positano to Salerno and then transfer in hotel, dinner and overnight stay.


Fifth day:
Breakfast. Transfer to caserta, meeting with the guide in front of the ticket office for the Royal Palace visit, realised in the XVIII century and wanted by King Charles III of Bourbon who wanted to emulate the brightness of Versailles courts. This is one of the most important Palaces ever built in Italy and it is one of the most beautiful in Europe. Visit of the apartments and of the enormous Royal Park, extended approximately for 100 hectares and 3 km of length, with water mirrors that can reach up to 1 km. lunch in typical restaurant in Caserta (first, second courses, side dish, fruits or dessert, water and wine in carafes).
